The General Manager of Société Minière de Boké (SMB) had the honor of receiving the African Leadership Mining and Sustainable Development Excellence Award at the Global Power Forum 2025 held in New York on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
This prestigious award highlights the vision, leadership, and collective commitment that have driven SMB for more than a decade, as well as the thousands of women and men in Boké who work every day to make bauxite mining a model of performance and responsibility.
The General Manager dedicated this award to the communities of Boké, whose trust, resilience, and spirit of partnership are a constant source of inspiration for SMB, as well as to all the teams in the field, who are true standard-bearers of the values of the SMB-Winning Consortium: respect, communication, solidarity, and cooperation.
Through this recognition, Société Minière de Boké reaffirms its conviction that responsible mining is not limited to the production of resources: it represents a sustainable lever for development, innovation, and shared prosperity in the service of the country, communities, and the African continent.
